Meghan Kirwin, MBA 2005
Founder & Managing Director
Kirwin Group

“The Entrepreneurship Accelerator Program provided me with coaching from professors and entrepreneurs, as well as legal services and professional sales training. The support enabled me to develop and refine my strategy, and ultimately start a Human Resources consulting business that immediately gained traction in the marketplace.”

Mona Prasad, MBA 2006
Chief Operating Officer
Goumantra Foods

“I completed the part-time Toronto program, while working in the area of cancer research. I wanted to combine my scientific background with business knowledge even before I was introduced to the world of Entrepreneurship at Laurier. I used to attend fairs in Toronto with my mother and sister and we sold our mother’s special blend of Indian spices. But it wasn’t until I entered my business plan into the LaunchPad $50K New Venture Competition 2005 that I really knew we had a great business opportunity. I came in third out of a field of 400! Goumantra hit store shelves in 2007.”

Sean Sinclair, MBA 2009

Sinclair Cycles

“My Laurier MBA delivered! The Innovation and Entrepreneurship component greatly increased the potential of mybusiness. With the level of support and mentoring I received from the Laurier faculty and the school’s Schlegel Centre for Entrepreneurship, I am now able to ensure that Sinclair Cycles is armed to compete in an extremely competitive marketplace.”
