Message from the MBASA President

Enthusiasm, anticipation, laughter and bright colours fill the halls of Laurier, especially the School of Business. It has been 6 months since the start of our full time program, which means we are half way there. As we prepare to say farewell to the outgoing co-op class who are all eagerly finishing up their semester so they can go and join the working world full time, we are also excited to welcome back the co-op students who are currently on their first work term, and from all the chatter are enthusiastically awaiting the return to class.

The culture of the Laurier MBA is one of family, friendship, camaraderie and support. We work together in teams and in groups every single day of the week. On weekends it is guaranteed that you will run into your peers in the School of business, in the library, in one of the MBA lounges, and definitely in line for coffee.

As the world continues to change, Laurier’s MBA program continues to evolve in order to continue to provide the world with the leaders of tomorrow. In a world where the game is changing, focus on IT, sustainability, innovation are surfacing as the new areas of focus. The Laurier MBA is leading the change, by offering its students the ability to harness our entrepreneurial spirits, to learn about sustainability and a green tomorrow, and to provide us with real work experience in the field doing management consulting.

To further differentiate our program as the one leading the change, we are immersed in opportunities to better our community by taking part in various Not for Profit initiatives. These experiences are teaching us humility, compassion, understanding, patience as well as appreciation.

We look forward to meeting all incoming MBA students, and adding you to our growing network of people. In the mean time remember…….. “LEAVE A LEGACY” as we all want to be remembered for whom we are and what we have done!!!!
